As Pride Month begins, a historic moment is taking place in Wilson, North Carolina – the city's first ever official Pride.
According to the trending event on Facebook, over 1,000 people total are interested in attending either the main Pride event or the Drag Show on Saturday evening. That's a particularly impressive amount of engagement for a first-time event in a rural part of the state.
